The Spelling Bee

Over the Thanksgiving Holiday there was a list of Spelling Bee words that were sent home for the kids to study, in preparation of the upcoming Spelling Bee.  Alex said that he did not want to study the words, because he did not want to participate (which I could understand would be intimidating for a little kiddo).  So we let them go by the wayside. Lo and Behold - he placed in his class and had to go on to the school Spelling Bee. It was a scary experience that was eased by the promise of a milkshake.  Here he is in all of his glory!
