Coachella 2008

Keeping the anniversary streak alive, Brett and I spent the middle of April at the Coachella Valley Music Festival.  We always have so much fun every year getting away for a few days in the sun listening to music and people watching!

5th Grade Ice Skating

Utah has some amazing programs for the elementary age kids and this year was the ice skating program.  The 5th graders spend 5 weeks at the ice rink learning how to ice skate and had so much fun!

Alex at Biz Town

Alex got to participate in a really unique experience this year called "Biz Town".  The students spend weeks in the classroom learning about money, checking accounts, how to balance a check book, make a deposit and use the funds that they work for.  Each kid has to work at a specific place (Smith's, Maverick, The utility co among many other places).  They then receive a paycheck, have to deposit it in the bank (with the kids who are working at the bank) and manage their money.  they then have 2 - 15 minute breaks where they get to spend their hard earned money.  It is such a great experience for these kids to see how hard you have to work for things and learn to manage your money.
Alex was assigned to work at Maverick and had a blast!

Spring Break at Grandma and Grandpa's New House

We decided it would be fun to spend out Spring Break visiting Grandma and Grandpa at their new home in St. George.  I think i'm so used to the drive at this point that it doesn't seem that far away.  The weather was nice and we made great memories!
We hiked ALOT!
And had a great day playing golf together!
We played some really fun games in the backyard everyday!
Had some downtime...

We even managed to see Uncle David and his family for a minute!

We are so excited that they are moving so much closer and look forward to the time that we will get to spend with them!

Just a little bit of family fun!

During our free time we had some fun eating out, enjoying U basketball games, Iggys for our usual Superbowl tradition, and lots of movies!

Soccer Tournament Mesquite

Alex usually has one winter tournament down south, which is usually great because it is a fun little getaway from the cold winter weather up here.  In February we went down to Mesquite, NV for quick weekend tournament.  The boys played well and took first place.  Along with soccer, we also had some fun in the sun!
Some downtime with friends between games.
And a tired boy on the ride home!

Junior Prom 2018

Colton had a wonderful time at Junior Prom this year and danced the night away with friends.  They started the date during the day with some fun at a trampoline warehouse - unfortunately Colton's date (Sarah) couldn't make it, but he went and had fun with friends.  Then came dinner and the dance...
They had a mother and son dance to start the night off!  Look like those practice dances with me paid off!

Snow Days

We had a very little snow this year, so we definitely tried to make it out when there was enough fluff to play in... Here is what that looked like.
