Spring Break 2019 St. George

St. George is such an amazing place for us to visit when we have time.  We have family to see, places to explore and sun to bask in!  We spent our Spring Break there visiting and making memories!

Grandma and Grandpa have some fantastic tennis courts by there house and we took advantage of them one day...
 Almost!
We hiked along the river, which was full because of the recent rains to find some hieroglyphs!
Alex learned how to golf and really enjoyed it this time!  He had some great hits!
Of course dad and Colton dominate!
Because of the rain, there were some huge waterfalls running at Gunlock and I really wanted to see them, so we spent an afternoon hiking around there...it was beautiful!
Colton stopped for some pull ups on the perfect pull up bar!
 Always frisbee golf!
And another ride on the machine!  Alex even got to drive!
We sure know how to fill a day...most afternoons looked like this when we were done!

I didn't get any pictures, but Brett and I and my parents spent an entire Sunday scouting out our future home sites...We looked at land and homes and have pretty much settled on the area we'd love to move to someday!

18 Years Old!!

This kid turned 18 and we couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments.  Colton is a wonderful son and brother and successfully navigated his teen years.  He's on to bigger and better things...planning for a mission and a received the Presidential award for scholarship at Utah State.  It looks like he's going to follow in his sister's footsteps!  He's an amazing tennis player and continues to play on the varsity team at Murray High School. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and enjoys their company.  He is a loyal friend and hard worker and has many long days of school, tennis and work - sometimes we don't see him until he rolls in around 8 or 9p.m.  Colton enjoys life and is a positive influence, always trying to look for the good around him.  I know his future holds fantastic adventures!

Always the cookie sandwich instead of cake at Grandma Deb and Grandpa Rod's home!
18 deserves some car decorations in the high school parking lot!

Las Vegas Tournament and a much needed vacation

Every year sometime around February or March we head down South for a soccer tournament.  This year, Las Vegas was the destination and although the weather was only in the high 60's, it felt amazing!

We made a short stop in St. George and stayed and Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Luckily there were cousins there for a baseball tournament too, so we were able to have some fun with them!

These boys went hunting for golf balls and came back with a sled!
 Watching the golfers
 Hanging in the sun!
Uncle Eric bought this cool ride and took us all out for a spin!
The boys at the Las Vegas Invitational. They played hard against some really great teams!
Then they goofed around and had lots of fun!  Alex has such great friends on his team!
We went downtown with another family (the Adams) and saw a magic show!  The boys were captivated and we had a great time!

Winter Weather

A few cold weather shots of what our long winter looked like!  We are really done with winter after all of this cold and really anticipating Spring weather!

What Colton looked like after a long morning of shoveling almost a foot of snow!
Mckaleigh trying to brighten up winter with her amazing makeup artistry!
Dad and Alex building a much coveted snow fort in the front yard!

New Years 2019

Every couple of years we do something special for New Years.  This year we went up to Park City and had a great time!  It was freezing cold - not just winter cold, but FREEZING!  We went bowling, had a fancy dinner, went out to the movies and came back to the hotel to swim and play games.  We love spending time together!
We each picked a fancy dessert to eat late that night in our hotel room! Here's a shot of Alex's chocolate peppermint fancy!
Stayed up late and woke early to finish a game of Settler's of Catan!
 We love making memories together!
