A Mexican Wedding Vacation

Brett and I recently went to Mexico for a wedding.  Some good friends of  ours decided to finally take the plunge, went all out...and I can't complain.  It was a beautiful event attended by so many of our dear friends.  Here are a few (alot) of pictures of the fun we had leading up to the event.

Here is a picture of the restaurant that we ate at in the morning.  It overlooked the beach - I was on the look out for early morning sharks!
We had beautifully shaded loungers or beds to chat, read and relax on all day long.
These guys hung out munching grass all over the hotel...they especially enjoyed a grassy patch right outside our front door!
Hanging with some of the gals...
The evening of the wedding...the sky was gorgeous!
The group of guys - including the groom
The group of gals - including the bride
 Candid moments...
What a fun "mommy/daddy" trip!  It was so great to be among so many friends to celebrate, laugh and make memories!

Alex the Cub Scout

We (Alex and I) had an adventure up at Cub Country day camp. Since I am the Wolves den leader, I was able to stay with Alex and his buddies for both of the days.  It was so fun (and so dirty) watching these little boys complete activities, bathe in dirt, and have so much fun together!

Here are a few shots from those two days...

Learning Camp songs and skits
 BB guns!
 Go Carting
 Jousting
 Stick Games
 Group shot and photo bomb
And to top it all off, Alex received his Bobcat award!

Myers Reunion 2015

This year it was Eric and Katie's turn to plan the family reunion.  They chose St. George, UT,  and we stayed at the same house we rented for the Cushing family reunion.  It was so fun!  So much fun, that we were going from morning to night.  I knew it was going to be a busy week when I stepped out of our door (we stayed in an attached casita) the first morning around 7:30 and there were kiddos running around the property already dressed and ready to go on an adventure.

(These pics are in no particular order...If I cared, then i'd never get these posted~)

Uncle Dan brought his water balloon launcher and the kids had some fun...but I think that the bigger boys had more fun with it!
An afternoon break from the pool before dinner time...
Do these boys look tired to you?
One evening we played games with just the adults.  Aunt Sheri brought this saran wrap ball filled with prizes and it was so much fun! (I took the idea to girls camp and we played a version there too )
 Some pool time.
Grandma Cindy bought everyone tickets to Tuacahn, and we went and saw Beauty and the Beast...Well, the beginning.  That evening, with about 24 people, started out to be lovely, but clouds rolled in and we were only able to watch about half of the play before it was cancelled.  But they did offer comp tickets for next year!
This is a picture of the die hards...It was the stayed till the play was cancelled crew.
Our activity was to plan a hike...of course we hiked through The Narrows. We had a large group, but were sad that some had to stay behind with littles and sickies.
This is how Aunt Sarah pulled Charlie up The Narrows
Despite all of the crazy and chaos, spending time together is what matters.  Some of the activities that we did not get pictures of were, the morning walks that Uncle Brett took all the little boys on, the nightly board games that were played, the quiet chit chat around the pool in the evenings and more of the love that was shared by all.

We are anxiously looking forward to the next family vacation that Uncle Dan and Aunt Sheri will plan!  His kids are pulling for CA and Disneyland, but are convinced it will be a hiking trip.
