Summer Fun!

As I am sure everyone is aware, Brett loves baseball and camping in the Summertime. We were able to do both this Summer. Alex went to his first baseball game and he wasn't even afraid of the BEE. He was actually quite fascinated! McKaleigh and Colton both got autographs.

With the help of Grandma Deb's Jeep, we were able to go on a few trips up the canyon for some camping fun this Summer. I was the official camp cook, while catching up on my important celebrity magazine reading. Brett helped the kids whittle "shanks" around the campfire. He was able to carve out a pretty smooth stick and whittled the work "family" into it. We were also able to try out the paintball gun that I got Brett for Christmas...It was very entertaining, and we painted the woods pink! On a more adventurous note, Brett even let the kids each bring a friend on one of our campouts - WOW!

Remebering Dixie

As many of you know, our dear dog Dixie passed away recently. We enjoyed 11 years with her, and her time with our family was wonderful. She was so great with the kids, and know that she can never be replaced. We feel as though we are missing something, and every now and again Alex and I wonder into the backyard and look around for her. Mckaleigh and Colton are both quick to remind us that "we still have Pedro" (our guinea pig)!
