Who knew we'd be golfing in the winter? Right down the street there is a heated driving range with food, and lost of fun activities. Uncle Eric suggested we all try it out and the boys - and girls made a night of it! I think they all ate way to much and had lots of fun!
I'm so glad that these cousins can have so much fun together!

St. George for Thanksgiving
We had so much fun with family heading down to St. George for Thanksgiving. It was just Brett, Alex and I and we lived it up with cousins, frisbee golf, hiking and found a new past time - hunting for lost golf balls.
Here are the cousins getting ready for a movie night in Grandma's backyard - the golf course.
After some of the cousins left, we went on a few hikes. the weather was chilly, but we had a great time exploring an area we hadn't hiked before!
Here are the fruits of Alex's golf ball hunting adventures! After the course would close, he and the cousins would hunt through the hills behind the holes and look for lost balls - they were pretty successful!
Right across the street from Grandma's subdivision is a park with a frisbee golf course - so of course we played!

Halloween
Alex chose his Halloween costume early this year, deciding to be a character from his favorite video game - Fortnite. He was an army guy named Sledgehammer - with a Unicorn Ax. We were able to get a big group together to run around the neighborhood collecting too much candy!
Lagoon
As part of our Christmas last year, Grandma Deb and Grandpa gifted us with tickets to Lagoon. We left early in the morning and stayed into the evening. It was so fun to see it decorated for Halloween and the lines were not too long. We played, got wet and the big kids and dad dared some scary rides!

A Few Dates
There were a few weekends when we did not have any BIG plans, so we made the most of the free nights. We all escaped to Fat Cats for Pizza and bowling. It was alot of fun to have the pizza. breadsticks and soda delivered to the lane. Bowling is always a fun family activity!
Brett and I also got a few dates in and if we can't make a concert happen, then comedy it is! We saw Jeremy Piven and Iliza Shelsinger.

Deer Creek Reservoir- Labor Day
We managed to squeeze in a mini trailer trip over Labor Day weekend! It was great because it was during the Sheepdog competition and games (which was a family favorite)!
Deer Creek was NOT a favorite reservoir! It was cold and rocky and nasty! We spent a few minutes at the beach and decided not to go back...The rest of the trip was spent in Midway, UT and down at Bridalvale Falls!
Sheep sheering...which was interesting and fun to watch. Fun fact- if you sit a sheep down on its but is doesn't know what to do, so it doesn't move!
Watching the dogs herd sheep
Watching the amazing splash dogs! We love watching these guys jump in the air and swim to get their toy!
Waterfall hiking! We love a good waterfall!

Bryce Canyon - A New Adventure
We have been so excited about our trip to Bryce Canyon. It was the trip that wrapped up our busy Summer of 2018 and certainly did not disappoint! We camped at Ruby's Campground and it had a great heated outdoor pool and Jacuzzi that we were able to use. There was a fun rock shop, general store and then the park! We hiked, star gazed and watched the presentations! I'd go back every Summer!
These boys...if you can crawl in it or hike up it, its fair game!
Even McKaleigh got in on the action...
Taking it all in!
Bryce Canyon was one of the most beautiful places i've ever been! The majesty of the rock formations, the beauty of the landscape - there is truly no other place on Earth like it!

Hyrum State Park - Visiting McKaleigh
One of our goals this year was to take the trailer up near McKaleigh so she could swing by and hang with us without a long drive or taking alot of time off work. We chose Hyrum State Park, just down the way from her condo in Logan...It was a good choice! We had so much fun! It was a great place to stay and play!
The water was warm and the weather was beautiful!
Beach games for days!
The boys learned how to catch crawdads...with a net and Colton even rigged up a trap with a Gatorade bottle that worked!
Fishing - a favorite pastime!
Kayaks and paddle boards!
I'm not sure if i've been to a park with warmer water! It was a great mini stay!

Cushing Family Staycation
This year with so many of our cousins getting ready for college, at college or working, we had a fun family staycation! We spent time at Snowbird, bowling, hiking, went to a mystery escape room (which we dominated) and hung out eating great food and playing games.
Snowbird hiking, Tram rides and lots of fun!
Mystery Escape room! Glad we had these brains to put all the pieces together!
All of this happened over July 4th! We managed to get out in the sun for some parade madness!

Yosemite
We were so lucky to be able to travel to Yosemite California for 10 days of fun this summer! We even met grandma and grandpa there! Our timing could not have been better because a few weeks after we returned home, they had to close and evacuate the park due to forest fires. We stay in a little town called Bass Lake and when we were not touring the park, we rented kayaks and inflatables and played on the lake. The condo we stayed in had a fun pool, tennis courts and Jacuzzi (which was NOT warm)!
Here we are at Bass Lake for one of the days...The water was beautiful and the weather was warm. I think grandpa was afraid to get into the lake (he enjoys clean clear water) so he enjoyed watching us from the shore and the safety of the kayak.
We really enjoyed lounging and chatting on the lake in the inner tubes!
There are so many waterfalls that you can hike to! It think a family favorite was the mist trail!
One morning we went into the Sequoia Grove and wondered in amazement at how enormous the trees were! Just right, if your short like Mckaleigh!
Uprooted!
A giant sized snack for Colton!
Floating the Merced River was also a favorite day - if you can't tell, we LOVE the water!
It was boys against girls in the rafts! We had a great time!
It is so wonderful to be able to enjoy the beauty of nature and the world around us. We love spending time with family and the adventures that we are able to go on!
