This being our second year at the Coachella Music Festival, we were a bit more prepared and a little less shell shocked. We have decided to make this our annual anniversary trip - it's the one trip we get all by ourselves...and we enjoy the 4 whirwind days of craziness!
You wouldn't know it, but there are about 60 thousand people that gather for this event. Here are a few pictures we managed to grab inbetween shows - which is difficult, because there are usually 4-6 going on at the same time all of the time!
Yes, that is a giant caterpillar behind us. It opened up the second day into a really beautiful butterfly.
Just a picture of dusk. When the sun sets over the event and the palm trees, there is nothing like it! it really is breathtaking!
Just a few of the "special friends" we were able to get pictures of...I had to include them (but left the more risque ones out...i'm not sure our posterity would appreciate those)!
We are so very lucky to be able to enjoy this event as a couple. It is a great way to reconnect, while enjoying great food, music, conversation and amazing people watching!

Just A Few Pics
These are just a few pictures I had hanging around on my camera, so I figured i'd put them on the blog. Spring always brings so much activity and so many things to do. Our calendar is FULL, even if it is just a family outing...
Here is a picture of Alex and I out on a hike with Roxy. We have found a great hike that both boy and dog love to go on!
A quiet Sunday afternoon of sitting on the front porch after dinner and blowing bubbles. I'm not sure how much longer he'll enjoy this activity, so I had to include it!
Easter weekend was CRAZY! We had a family baptism, many Myers family activities and grandparents in town. This was the only picture that I took. All of the kiddos are lined up and ready for Grandma Cindy's Easter Egg hunt.

Museum Of Natural History
We spent some time at the Museum of Natural History (almost all day), and I can't believe that we haven't visited this amazing place before now! It is so modern and has so many hands on activities, interactive computer quizzes, puzzles and more! It was a really fun adventure and is right at the base of the Bonneville Shoreline trail...which we haven't explored either! I feel like there are so many wonderful things, right here in our backyard. Here are some of the pictures from our day...
Here we are at the Native American pottery station. there are all different kinds of jars, and you have to piece them together. It was fun trying to figure it out - like a puzzle. There is another station like that were you have to piece together a dinosaur head....Alex, McKaleigh and I could not figure that one out!
Up on the rooftop deck.
In front of a preserved fish exhibit...I am not kidding - the exhibits were fascinating!
The boys playing in sand and water at the erosion table.
A huge all of dino skulls. It was so neat to see which ones were native to Utah. I think is was amazing to think that some of these animals were here, in our state, once upon a time.
Colton, taking a ride in a dinosaur footprint.
Alex could fully lay inside of the footprint.
The boys reading about some of the live spiders and lizards you might find today. CREEPY!
A parting shot of mom and dad on the deck with the valley behind us!
I would recommend this as a day adventure for anyone. It was such a fun place to spend the day, just minutes from home!
