Updates with a few pics...

We took a little family trip to the park to feed the ducks, play frisbee, volleyball and soccer.  It was a really fun afternoon...and luckily daddy thought to bring along the camera!

McKaleigh is really busy playing on a recreational volleyball team and YW volleyball.  She really enjoys the sport and has hopes for trying out for the school team next year.  She has been really busy with friends and trying to earn some cash for these events.  She is going up to grandma Deb's and working in her yard for some cash and has found odd jobs for other family members.  She has a new found interest in scary movies and has been meeting up with friends at the movies.  She is enjoying school and has set a goal to graduate HS with her bachelors degree.  She has lost 10 lbs on weight watchers and has learned to cook some really great (healthy) meals.
Colton is also busy with school - but has become quite a bookworm.  He spends quite a lot of time reading on the couch - or playing legos with Alex.  He enjoys his scouts nights and love a good game of basketball with dad.  I have attempted to challenge him, but we usually just end of laughing at how bad I am!  He loves all things math, and each night when we ask the kids about the best part of the day, we have to tell Colton to tell us something other than math.  He is always looking for a project of some kind (batteries hooked up with paper clips, lighting fires with magnifying glasses, learning how to play poker) he just loves learning new skills.  He is always helpful and a great kid.

Alex loves kindergarten and like I have said, he comes home with a new friendship everyday - boy or girl, it doesn't matter.  He is really great about reading and getting his homework done, and he is learning our phone number and how to write his last name.  He loves his dog - they are best buddies and play together all of the time (she secretly loves him best).  He is a pretty mellow kid who loves to play games, legos, computer...the list goes on - just as long as there is a playmate involved.
Daddy and I stay pretty busy with the above people.  He has been making regular trip to Atlanta, GA for work (at least once a month) and when he is home his work life is just as busy.  However, he still makes time for each of us - spending quality time listening and enjoying our family going's on.  I just try to keep all of the ball up in the air and make an occasional dinner.  I can't complain - I love my life, we have it good!

Sunday Dinner

Every other week - for as long as Brett and I have been dating- Grandma Deb and Grandpa Rod have hosted family dinner at their house.  It's really great because sometimes it is the only time during the month that we have the chance to visit with them and the cousins.  We have such a great time chatting, catching up and spending time with family.  It such a great tradition - thanks grandma and grandpa!

(We rarely have our camera at dinner, but last night we did)

Here are all of the girls sitting around the table solving many of the worlds problems, discussing recipes, movies, books, and the general goings on.
The boys are usually making forts, playing with blocks or watching shows - lucky for them, tonite Uncle Matt decided to referee the wrestling match. (Sam was watching his own show in another room, but usually cruises through every once in a while to see what is going on, and Charlie usually stands back and watches the craziness).
Lilly can usually talk someone into watching her dance or reading her a book - tonite grandpa was the lucky guy!
With all of our busy schedules it so nice to catch up with everyone over a good meal at grandma and grandpas house - I hope it is something all of our kiddos remember.
