McKaleigh recently went to a girls choice "theme" dance with one of her good friends...The theme was, Under the Sea, so they all decided to go as lifeguards. They spent the day up at Hogle Zoo, had dinner and fun at a friends home, went to the dance and i'm not sure what else, but it was after midnight when she rolled in!

Scouting
Colton has a really great group of boys his age in our neighborhood and they have had all kinds of adventures through the scouting program. Here are a few photos of some of their camps...
Cooking Merit Badge...Gotta love a guy who isn't afraid to wear a blue floral apron!

Fun Filled Day
This year we were given a wonderful gift from Grandma Deb and Grandpa Rod....It was a "visit Salt Lake pass." With this pass we are able to get into many of the SLC attractions that would normally cost us an arm and a leg. It was such an amazing gift - that we put to good use today. McKaleigh was attending the State Debate Tournament, so we decided to use the Discovery Gateway and Clark Planetarium passes. We left around 1 and didn't make it home till almost 7pm...Whew - it was a long, fun filled day!
Here is where we started...The ball room. the boys spent lots of time gathering balls and sending them through all sorts of suction and crank tubing. They liked to watch and see where the balls went throughout this room.
Brett and I (a selfie) outside while the boys played inside a real helicopter.
Here is the room I think they enjoyed the most. It was filled with huge size tinker toys made of foam that you can put together and build things with.
And then, of course, we digress into making our arms into life size weapons and chasing dad around the room and fighting.
There is an area with all kinds of magnets. I like the more quiet building time...Alex and I playing with some of the magnetized blocks.
The boys in the "hurricane simulator". It got pretty blustery in there!
I loved watching the boys work together!
Climbing the rock wall...
Over at the Planetarium we saw a 3D movie about saving the Lemurs and then wandered around the gift store - Wow, they have some really fun stuff in there. They boys kept gravitating to this electric ball. They liked to gather all the electricity up and shock each other!
It was such a fun day and I know that we are looking forward to our next adventure! Thanks grandma and grandpa!
