Alex's 5th Birthday

Alex turned 5 this year...it is a big birthday in so many ways!  He finished preschool and is reading and doing all kinds of math problems.  He loves learning!  He is very excited to begin kindergarten this year and there are a few other boys in our neighborhood he is good friends with that will be joining him.  Heaven help the kindergarten teachers this year!  They can be a rowdy bunch.

Some things that Alex loves are:  Playing with friends, playing with his dad (and his dad's iphone), playing in the water, helping in the garden and picking fresh veggies.  Alex is kind of a shy kid in new situations and in groups of people (it always takes him a few minutes to warm up).  He loves fruit and will choose fresh fruit over junk food!  He has a great smile and is excited about planning each day out.  He likes to have a play by play of what is going on each day.  Alex is such a happy kiddo and loves to please others.  He is good at making deals and compromising and loves life and greats each day with enthusiasm. 

He had a great birthday this year celebrating with pizza, cake and icecream and having lots of family over to play and celebrate!
