Family Camp Trip - Cecret Lake

Wow, this has been the Summer of camping trips!  I think that we have done some some form of camping every month...and it has been so much fun! We always go to Snowbird (we LOVE it there) but try to mix it up with different hikes and outings.  We have been staying at the Tanner's Flat campground the last few years and really like the set up there - it works for our family.

This picture is just behind our campsite, we love that it is by a rushing river that drowns out most of the other campground sounds.
There was a huge log going across the river that was a great picture spot.
One of our hikes was up to a place called Cecret (secret) lake.  It has been a hike that I have wanted to try for a long time, so I was really excited about it.  Just off of the trail we were lucky to see a mamma and kid moose.  It was really exciting for the kids! Along with the moose, we saw river salamanders, the skeleton of some kind of foxlike creature, and a marmot.  It was really fun to take in the beautiful scenery and see so many creatures during our adventure!

I am so glad that we have kids that enjoy the outdoors, are game for a hike or two and make our family time so memorable!
